Val recently posted a personality test on her blog, so I decided to try it out:

This sounds pretty much exactly like me. The funny thing is that the entire test is just a single question. It asks you to click on a picture.

I don't know you well enough to judge, but my impression of you is pretty much exactly that. Except I have not seen you to be argumentitive.

Incidentally, I read an article that says that prefering art that depicts water is symbolic of a wish to die, and the stiller the water, the stronger the wish. I hope this is not true. The same article says that people who like flowers (what I chose on this test) hate themselves for not being beautiful.

Poking holes in arguments is a lot of what I do at work. It is a big part of designing computer software.

I've struggled with depression probably since I was a kid, but I've never attempted suicide.

Emotionally, I was doing really well at the beginning of the summer, but later on, I think in late July, things didn't end up like I thought and I kinda fell apart (all this I touched upon in my "friends only" entries). I've been slipping in and out of depression and self-loathing since then. I keep feeling like I'm over it and a few days later I'll feel like shit again.

I think we are all more critical of ourselves than others are of us. Though, even with that in mind, it still can be pretty hard to give yourself a break.

Where was this article that you read? I'd like to check it out.
