Soccer (Opening Day)
Last year, I began playing informal soccer games with my co-workers after work on Thursdays. Today was the first game of the year. The turnout was very good and Christian even brought a disco-ball for us to kick around.

My major goal for today's game was to make it through the whole game without getting sick, which was a problem for me the first game last year. Today, though, I paced myself well and felt fine after the game was over.

One thing that I like about playing soccer is that it's easy to get lost in playing the game. It allows me to be in the present moment instead of stuck in my mind, needlessly thinking about the past or thinking about something that may or may not happen in the future.

What would Echart Tolle have to say about your enjoying the present moment?

Being in the present moment is the only healthy way to be liberated from the mind / ego. The present moment is all there ever is. Everything takes place in the present moment, that is the only time anything can ever happen.
